General Band Rules: 1. Nobody is to have his/her watch worn on the wrist. 2. Keep all handphones in your bags. 3. Greet teachers, alumni, sirs/ma’ams whenever you see any when entering the band room or practice rooms. 4. Respect all seniors. 5. Maintain silence during full band. 6. Cases and bags are not to lie around in the band room. They are to be kept in your section cupboards. 7. Keep your section’s cupboards neat and tidy. 8. Label all belongings of your section, i.e. stands, mugs, etc. 9. Place all shoes neatly in rows outside the band room. 10. Sit properly, with both feet on the ground, flat. 11. Leave forms are to be submitted one week beforehand. No last minute absence is allowed. Inform the respective squad leaders that you would not be present; do not ask your friend to pass the message. Members absent due to dental/medical appointments must submit a doctor’s letter the following practice to the respective squad leaders. 12. No eating/drinking (of sweet beverages) in the band room/practice rooms. 13. KEEP THE BAND ROOM AND PRACTICE ROOMS CLEAN! During Fall-In / Fall-Out: 1. Be punctual. 2. Be in the correct attire. Tuck in all shirts. 3. Put on the band badge on any collar top. 4. Place your right hand over your left hand. 5. When given warnings to keep quiet during fall-in / fall-out, heed them. Upon the 3rd warning, the member has to fall-out. 6. When asking for permission to fall-in, ask politely, “Permission to fall-in, Sir/Ma’am.” 7. March properly when asking for permission to fall-in or when falling-out. Squad leaders are to make your squad members repeat marching until it is done appropriately. 8. Stand properly. Do not fidget. 9. MAINTAIN SILENCE AT ALL TIMES, especially when announcements are being made. Labels: General Band Rules |
